Did you know that Alberta Soccer offers more provincial soccer championship competitions than any other province in Canada?
Alberta Soccer runs Youth and Senior Provincial Championships twice a year, for the indoor and outdoor seasons. The Championships are currently offered at four different tiers for youth and five different tiers for adults. The Youth Provincial Championships are comprised of four different age groups - U13, U15, U17, U19. Senior Provincial Championships are offered to players over the age of 18 while the Masters and Classics divisions are for the 30/35+ age groups.
During the outdoor season, Alberta Soccer holds the Youth Provincial Championships over several weekends. The events include:
Rural Tier IV Championships
Cities Tier IV Championships
Tier II and III Championships
Tier I to Nationals
The Senior Provincial Championships are held over Labour Day Long Weekend, and are also known as Senior SoccerFest.
Alberta Soccer relies on its District Members to support our Provincial Championships. District Members help to host competitions, ensure facility standards are met, provide volunteers and submit declarations for teams who are participating in their leagues to attend the Provincial Championships.
